This Privacy Policy describes how Vellmont Services OPC PVT Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use InviteSync (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, used for sign-in and one-time passcodes.
• Invitation data: images and extracted event details (name, date, venue, host) you upload. Card images are stored with our image provider, Cloudinary.
• Voice recordings: if you use the “add by voice” feature, a short audio clip is sent to our AI provider to extract the event details. The audio is processed transiently and is not retained after extraction.
• Notification token: a push token (via Expo) so we can send event reminders, if you enable notifications.
• Calendar (optional): if you choose to add an event to your device calendar, we write that event to it. We do not read or upload your existing calendar entries.
• Payment information: billing details processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store card numbers on our servers.
• Usage data: log data, device type, IP address, and pages visited, collected automatically.
• Communications: messages you send us via email or the contact form.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, account notifications).
• To respond to your support requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud or unauthorised access.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providers: companies that help us operate the Service — authentication (Clerk), payments (Razorpay), image storage (Cloudinary), AI event extraction, push/reminder delivery (Expo for notifications, MSG91 for WhatsApp/SMS, Resend for email). They process data only to provide their service to us and are contractually obligated to protect it.
• Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
• Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention: we keep your account and invitation data while your account is active. You can delete individual cards at any time, and you can request deletion of your entire account and associated data by contacting us — we will action it promptly. Voice recordings are not retained after processing.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and analyse usage patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Service may not function correctly.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@vellmontservices.com.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
